Regardless of how much kamal fanatics hate rajini and his kind of cinema, kamal haasan himself has a special liking for the superstar. Both of them are very close friends and acted together in atleast ten odd movies early in their careers. (between 1975 and early eighties)
in this flick both are expected to "be themselves" and perform natural acting. while kamal does it 100% right, rajini brings in an unwarranted for "style element".
