It cant get any better than this. I can write a 5000 page book on this movie coz i have watched it almost on a daily basis till today. its the most addictive movie i've ever seen.

there are two great aspects about this movie

1)kamal's acting

playing quadraples, kamal masters 4 different accents - an nri, a pallakad iyer, a madras localite and a drunk dada. Kamal sees to it that even one all four characters look alike there is not a single similarity in their body language and behaviour.

2.kamal's screenplay

god level are the only two words to describe the simple yet awesome screenplay of this movie. one event beautifully leads to another and its like magic. every character is well utilised and the comic timing is brilliant to say the least.

full of witty and rib tickling double meaning, dialogues by crazy mohan literaly rock.

a wonderfully essayed role of a corrupt mayor is what stands out in indran chandran... which went on to get kamal haasan one more telugu state award for best actor.

I rate this as Kamal Haasan's most entertaining screenplay. It has all elements of a great entertainer and teaches rajinikanth vijay ajith and other forl=mula heroes on how to make intelligent entertainers.

It happened in this movie because of the 7 minutes of brilliance that u are watching. Balu mahendra had intended to keep the climax simple and soft but kamal rewrote the screenplay in the last 7 minutes to make it more dramatic, and what we have is probably the best climax tamil cinema has ever seen and will ever see.

this movie will also be remembered as the great poet and lyricist Kannadaasan's last contribution to cinema. the song kanne kalaimaane was a rage among people the movie went on to be a super duper hit
