the first peak into the delusional world ( guna 1991)

first things first - the movies preceding and succeding guna from the kamal table are mmkr and singaravelan - 2 complete laugh riots.

this speaks volumes about the actor/screenwriter's versatality.

guna will be known for two things - firstly, it was kamals maiden attempt at showing what goes inside the mind of a mentally retarded person.. he did it better in aalavandhaan though. and secondly Ilayaraja's classic bgm especially in the paarthavazhi song. brilliant.

guna is a story about a guy who lives in a delusional world thinking about his imaginary lover "abirami". This song, sung by kamal himself has become an integral part of tamil cinema and is referred now and then in many movies and serials.
