Rangaraja Nambi avatarates

this video posted by a telugu kamal fanatic gives us a peek into "RANGARAJA NAMBI" - one of the ten characters designed and executed by kamal haasan himself.

more about the lyrics of the song:- it mentions the names of kamal's parents srinivasan and rajalakshmi. Lines like 8 aksharam vanangum nenjam 5 aksharam paarkadhu are references to narayan(8 letters) and shiva (5 letters)

From what we can see, rangaraja nambi is a staunch vaishnavite who opposes forced conversion to shaivism and is punished by the shaivaite king (played by napoleon). Rngarajan is tied to a vishnu idol and thrown into the sea.

Lookin' at the sets and the recreation of the centuries old town, I now understand why OSCAR ravichandran constantly refers to dasavartharam as "world cinema" and not a mere tamil movie
