A career that has re-defined relentlessness, dedication, innovation and improvisation though out its existence. A career that is a definite benchmark for every human being associated with the film world and also for those outside it. This is the glittering career of Padmashree Kamal Haasan - Legendary actor , film maker, born November 7, 1954, Paramakudi, Madras state.

No mean achievement this. To have ruled over the rational wing of a movie making industry that cares least about logic in its films is an achievement in itself. For almost three decades now, Kamal has been the most visible face of the revolutionary movement in tamil cinema. He has broken norms and rules with almost every film of his. He has made as many technical innovations as possible and has constantly experimented within the commercial constraints of the industry. All this in an undying effort to strive for a good quality output. This august these efforts reach a golden moment. The fiftieth year.

What started with a national award for the best child performance for Kalathoor Kannama ( Aug 12, 1960) will now be fifty years old on August 12th 2009, when kamal's remake of last years bollywood runaway hit 'A Wednesday' releases across the country.

I as one of his biggest fans on earth have decided to pay homage to his talent which has enthralled me beyond all possible limits and has been an absolute treat for my senses.
